The nasal sample is tested for the presence of the COVID-19 virus using the Reverse Transcriptase- Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method. PCR is considered as the gold standard and is the most accurate test method currently available. The sensitivity of PCR tests to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes COVID-19, is 98% while the specificity of the test is 99%.
The results are available in 72 hours or less, depending on the laboratory’s workload. Please take note that Sundays and some public holidays when our partner lab is closed DO NOT count towards the 72-hour turnaround time.
When you book your appointment, you will receive an email from portal@labnexus.net. Follow the instructions in that email to register an account to the secured results portal. Log-in to view or download your results from this portal once they become available.
If you do not receive an email from portal@labnexus.net (check your spam and junk folders too) please call us or send us an email at info.lab@calrclabs.com
CRC Labs offers PCR nasal testing. Since PCR is a very reliable type of test, it is usually the one required for travel purposes. However, it is VERY IMPORTANT that you confirm the specific protocols and preferences of your airline and/or country of destination before booking your test appointment. We cannot refund for tests that were not accepted due to specific requirements set by airlines, hotels, etc.
When an appointment is missed or cancelled, a refund can be requested by sending an email with the details of the appointment. Send us an email with the subject line “Refund Request” to info.lab@calrclabs.com. After a review of your case, if we find you are eligible for a refund, we will initiate the refund for 90% of the amount that you paid for. There is a non-refundable booking fee for missed or cancelled appointments. Refund requests related to a missed or cancelled appointment should be received NOT MORE THAN 7 DAYS AFTER the date of the appointment. After this grace period, any request for refund will not be processed.
Please take note that depending on the laboratory’s workload, it may take up to 72 hours from the time of collection to have your results available on the patient’s portal. Furthermore, the 72-hour turnaround time includes only the business days of our partner laboratory. Sundays and certain public holidays, when the lab is closed, DO NOT count toward the 72-hour turnaround time.
When your results are released beyond the expected turnaround time, you may request for a full refund by sending us an email. After a review of your case, if we find you are eligible for a refund, we will initiate the refund for 100% of the amount you paid for. Refund requests related to a late result should be received NOT MORE THAN 7 DAYS AFTER the date of the appointment. After this grace period, any request for refund will not be processed.
We encourage you to request a refund rather than dispute the charges on your card. Our own review process may take up to a week to initiate the refund while disputes may take up to 90 days to be resolved.
We are currently not in network with any insurance and the testing we provide is meant for self-pay. You may attempt to reimburse the amount you paid for testing but CRC Labs cannot guarantee its success as this will be the insurance company’s prerogative. We do not issue any other information or document for reimbursement purposes other than what is already provided in the receipt and the result form.
